MOORESTOWN FRIENDS SCHOOL
A new main entrance plaza was created for this historic prep school founded in 1785. The natural bluestone plaza has become a welcoming focal point of the campus. Its central location serves to connect the confluence of many walkways on the campus to their main entrance. The plaza and grand stairway lead visitors from the Dining Hall Commons and automobile drop off zone to their main Reception area, administrative offices and library in Stokes Hall. The new landscape plan saved existing mature trees and features new boxwood and rose planter beds, sitting walls and park benches. A pleasing scale and “sense of place” has been created by the use of the material elements, walls and trees. This new plaza is very popular, is heavily utilized and also features a state of the art subsurface heating and drainage system
